  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 to
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • warm water - 1/4 c
  • dry yeast - 1 pkg
  • dill seed - 2 tsp
  • creamed cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm - 1 c
  • unbeaten egg - 1 item
  • dry minced onion - 1 Tbsp

How to make dilly casserole bread:

Soften yeast in water. Combine rest of ingredients in bowl. Add flour to form stiff dough. Cover; let rise (85° to 90°) until double, 50 to 60 minutes. Stir down. Turn into greased 8-inch round casserole (1 1/2 to 2-quart). Let rise 30 to 40 minutes. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes. Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with salt.
