Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 c
  • water - 10 qt
  • vinegar - 1 qt
  • pepper - 2 Tbsp
  • cukes
  • stalks dill - 5 item

How to make dill pickles:

Make solution of water, salt, vinegar and pepper; heat to boiling point. Fill crock with cukes, placing dill between layers. Add hot solution. A slice of onion or garlic may be added to boiling liquid if desired. Cover crock and let stand several days before using. Makes 3 gallons.
