Crunchy chicken casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- sliced celery - 1 c
- chow mein noodles - 1 c
- frozen peas, thawed - 1 c
- sliced water chestnuts - 2/3 c
- cooked chicken or turkey - 2 c
How to make crunchy chicken casserole:
Blend together sour cream and mayonnaise. Toss first 6 ingredients with sour cream mixture. Put half of the mixture into buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole. Top with 1/2 cup chow mein noodles. Add remaining mixture and top with 1/2 cup chow mein noodles. Bake at 375° for 25 minutes. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Casseroles.
