Crumb cake

Ingredients/Components

• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• chopped nuts - 1 c
• flour - 2 c
• brown sugar - 2 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• baking powder - 1/2 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1/2 c
• sour or buttermilk - 1 c

How to make crumb cake:

Set oven to 350°. Mix the first 3 ingredients together. Save 1/2 cup of this mixture to sprinkle on cake before baking. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased loaf pan. Top with mixture. Bake 35 minutes.
