Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 2 oz
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • butter - 4 Tbsp
  • flour - 4 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • heavy cream - 1/2 c

How to make creamed peas:

Cook peas according to package directions; drain. In medium saucepan, melt butter; remove from heat. Stir in flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg until smooth. Gradually stir in milk and cream. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil gently for 1 minute. Add peas; simmer 2 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
