Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 2 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- heavy cream - 1/2 c
How to make creamed peas:
Cook peas according to package directions; drain. In medium saucepan, melt butter; remove from heat. Stir in flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg until smooth. Gradually stir in milk and cream. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil gently for 1 minute. Add peas; simmer 2 minutes. Makes 8 servings.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Side dish, Vegetables.
