Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- basil - 1 tsp
- small can water chestnuts, drained and sliced - 1 item
- peas frozen - 2 pkg
How to make creamed peas:
Cook peas in salted water until done. Add flour to melted butter; mix until a smooth paste. Stir flour mixture into peas, stirring until smooth and thick. Add water chestnuts. (May substitute drained, sliced mushrooms for chestnuts.) Add basil. Stir until mixed.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Side dish, Vegetables.
