Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
  • basil - 1 tsp
  • small can water chestnuts, drained and sliced - 1 item
  • peas frozen - 2 pkg

How to make creamed peas:

Cook peas in salted water until done. Add flour to melted butter; mix until a smooth paste. Stir flour mixture into peas, stirring until smooth and thick. Add water chestnuts. (May substitute drained, sliced mushrooms for chestnuts.) Add basil. Stir until mixed.
