Cream of mushroom soup
Ingredients/Components
- half and half
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- minced mushrooms - 1 c
How to make cream of mushroom soup:
Melt butter; add flour and cook 3 minutes. Remove from heat; whisk in half and half. Add mushrooms and seasonings. Return to heat; bring to a boil, lower heat and cook until thick. Really good base for crab soup, too (without mushrooms and some Old Bay). Serves 4.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Mushroom, Bisques/cream soups.
