Cream of crab soup
Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 1 pt
- milk - 3 c
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chicken broth - 1 c
- salt to taste - 1 item
- Old Bay seasoning - 1 item
- backfin crabmeat - 1 lb
How to make cream of crab soup:
Remove cartilage from crabmeat. Melt butter in a large saucepan. Blend in flour. Stir until smooth. Slowly stir in chicken broth and pepper. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes. Add half and half slowly, and then the milk, slowly. Stir constantly until thick. Do not let it boil. Add crabmeat and salt. Sprinkle Old Bay seasoning over soup after it has been put in bowl.
