Cream of broccoli soup
Ingredients/Components
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- melted butter - 3 Tbsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- chicken broth or bouillon - 3 c
- finely chopped broccoli - 1 c
- milk evaporated milk makes it thicker - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- small bay leaf - 1 item
How to make cream of broccoli soup:
Saute onion in butter until tender. Add flour, stirring well. Gradually stir in broth, broccoli and bay leaf. Cook over medium heat until broccoli is tender, stirring frequently.
