Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- grated orange peel - 1 tsp
- orange juice - 3/4 c
- light raisins
- fresh cranberries, chopped or whole
How to make cranberry bread:
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda in large bowl. Cut in butter. Add egg, orange peel and orange juice all at once. Stir until moist. Fold in raisins and cranberries. Spoon into 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes. All cranberries can be used instead of raisins.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
