Country vanilla ice cream
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- sugar
- whipping cream - 1 pt
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- plus 1 1/2 tsp - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 5 c
How to make country vanilla ice cream:
Beat eggs with electric mixer at medium speed until frothy. Gradually add sugar, beating until mixture becomes thick (about 5 minutes). Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into freezer can of a 1-gallon freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions. Turn churn off. Cover with thick towel and let set 1 hour.
