- water - 1 gal
- ham hock
- collards - 2 lb
How to make collards:
Cut off and discard tough stems and discolored leaves from collards. Wash greens thoroughly. Combine ham hock and water in Dutch oven; bring to a boil and cook 15 to 30 minutes. Add collards; cover and cook at low boil for 1 1/2 hours. Season to taste with salt.Recipe categories: Side dish, Greens, Collard greens.
