Coffee cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 3/4 c
• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 1/2 c
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour
• brown sugar
• baking powder
• egg - 1 item
• soft butter - 1/4 c
• butter, melted - 1/3 c

How to make coffee cake:

Topping:1/2 c. brown sugar1/4 c. flour1 tsp. cinnamon1/4 c. soft butter Combine topping in a bowl. Grease a 9 x 1 1/2-inch layer cake pan. Mix flour with baking powder and salt; set aside.

With hand beater, beat egg until frothy, then add sugar and butter until well blended. Add milk and vanilla. With wooden spoon, beat in flour mixture until well blended. Pour into prepared pan and sprinkle with topping. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until wooden pick comes out clean. Cool pan on wire rack. Cut while warm.
