  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • sour cream - 1/2 pt
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • margarine
  • nuts optional - 1 c

How to make coffee cake:

Topping:6 Tbsp. margarine2 tsp. cinnamon1 c. brown sugar1 c. nuts (optional) Cream sugar with shortening; add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Sift flour, baking powder and soda together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Spread half of batter in 10-inch tube pan. Cream butter, brown sugar and cinnamon; add nuts. Dot half topping evenly over batter in pan. Cover with remaining batter; top with other half of nut mixture. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
