Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- 9-inch baked pie shell - 1 item
- can coconut - 1 oz
- scalded milk - 2 c
How to make coconut pie:
Combine 3/4 cup sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add milk gradually. Cook and stir until mixture thickens (3 to 5 minutes). Add small amount of hot mixture to egg yolks. Stir well and add to hot mixture. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heRecipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
