Best ever lemon meringue pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1/2 c
- water
- egg yolks - 4 item
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- lemon juice - 1/2 c
- grated lemon rind - 1 tsp
- 9-inch baked pie shell - 1 item
- Combine egg yolks, water and lemon juice
How to make best ever lemon meringue pie:
Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan; set aside. Combine egg yolks, water and lemon juice. Stir in sugar mixture; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and lemon rind.
