  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • apple juice - 1/2 c
  • dried currants - 1/2 c
  • green apples, peeled, quartered and chopped into chunks - 6 lb

How to make chunky applesauce:

Combine all ingredients in heavy saucepan. Cover and cook over medium-low heat until apples are tender, stirring occasionally, about 45 minutes.
