Chuck wagon beans
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- boiling water - 2/3 c
- molasses - 2 size
- mustard - 3 Tbsp
- ketchup
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- ground beef - 3 lb
- finely chopped onions - 3 c
- barbecue sauce - 2 3
- finely chopped celery - 1 c
- beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
- slices bacon - 2 item
- 1/2 cloves minced garlic - 1 item
How to make chuck wagon beans:
Preheat oven to 375°. In large roasting pan or Dutch oven, fry bacon until crisp. Set aside. Drain fat from pan. In same pan, cook and stir ground beef, onion and celery until meat is brown and onion is tender. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water and add remaining ingredients into meat mixture. Cover and bake 1 hour. Crumble bacon over beans before serving.Good for a crowd. Or divide into 2 casseroles and freeze 1 for later.
