Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 3 4
- water - 3 c
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- Kitchen Bouquet - 1 item
- beef bouillon - 2 tsp
- can bamboo shoots - 1 item
- cut celery - 3 c
- cut up onions - 2 item
- large can bean sprouts - 1 item
- hamburger or chow mein meat
- can cut up chestnuts - 1 item
How to make chow mein:
Fry hamburger or chow mein meat. Combine with beef bouillon, celery, onion, salt, soy sauce and water; cover and cook 20 minutes. Add cornstarch, dissolved in 1/2 cup water to thicken. Then add drained bean sprouts, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. Add Kitchen Bouquet for color. Serve over chow mein noodles or rice.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Time to make.
