Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water
- hot water - 1 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- onions, diced - 1 c
- celery - 1 c
- can bean sprouts - 1 item
- pork
- LaChoy sauce - 2 tsp
How to make chop suey:
Thickening:1/3 c. water2 Tbsp. cornstarch2 tsp. LaChoy sauce1 tsp. sugar Melt butter; add meat. Sear quickly. Add onions and fry for 5 minutes. Add celery, salt, pepper and water. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Add drained bean sprouts. Mix and heat to boiling point. Add flavoring and thickening. Serve over cooked rice.
