Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • water
  • hot water - 1 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • onions, diced - 1 c
  • celery - 1 c
  • can bean sprouts - 1 item
  • pork
  • LaChoy sauce - 2 tsp

How to make chop suey:

Thickening:1/3 c. water2 Tbsp. cornstarch2 tsp. LaChoy sauce1 tsp. sugar Melt butter; add meat. Sear quickly. Add onions and fry for 5 minutes. Add celery, salt, pepper and water. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Add drained bean sprouts. Mix and heat to boiling point. Add flavoring and thickening. Serve over cooked rice. Top with chow mein noodles.
