- Crisco - 2 Tbsp
- onions, diced - 1/2 c
- celery - 2 c
- veal, cubed - 1 lb
- pork, cubed - 1 lb
- can bean sprouts - 1 item
- can dry noodles - 1 item
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- sugar - 1 tsp
- soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
How to make chop suey:
Melt fat in Dutch oven. Add meat, onions and fry until brown. Add salt, pepper and water. Cook 1 hour. Add celery and cook 30 minutes more. Make thickening of flour, sugar and soy sauce.
