Chocolate zucchini cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- chocolate chips - 1/2 c
- chopped walnuts - 1/4 c
- cooking oil - 1/2 c
- grated zucchini - 2 c
- ground cloves - 1/4 tsp
- soft butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- sour milk * - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate zucchini cake:
In mixing bowl, cream butter, oil and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and sour milk. Blend well. Add flour, cocoa, baking soda, cloves and cinnamon and salt. Stir together. Add zucchini; mix well. Spoon into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Does not require frosting! Bake in glass pan at 325° for 45 minutes; metal pan at 350° for 40 minutes.*To make sour milk, put 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar into measuring cup and add milk to equal 1/2 cup. Let it stand a few minutes.
