Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 4 item
  • flour
  • cans evaporated milk - 2 oz
  • sharp Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 lb
  • small cans tomato sauce - 2 item
  • Jack cheese, grated - 1 lb
  • cans Ortega chilis - 4 oz

How to make chili rellenos casserole:

Step 1: (May be done ahead.) Open up chilis and clean. Layer in greased large casserole (sprinkle with Cheddar cheese). Blend milk, eggs, flour and salt in blender. Pour over cheese and chili layers. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Put Jack cheese on top. Pour 2 cans of tomato sauce on cheese. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
