Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 5 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • Cheddar cheese, grated
  • small can tomato sauce - 1 item
  • Jack cheese, grated - 3/4 lb
  • can whole green chilies - 27 oz
  • can evaporated Pet milk - 13 oz

How to make chili rellenos:

Wash and remove seeds from chilies and let soak in cold water for 1 hour; drain. Lay chilies flat in bottom of baking dish. Put grated cheeses on top. Mix egg, flour, milk and salt. Lay more chilies on top of cheese. Pour milk mixture over top of cheese, then more chilies on top. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove and pour tomato sauce over top. Bake for 10 minutes more.
