Chili con carne with tomatoes
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- 12 oz - 1 lb
- paprika - 1/8 tsp
- chili powder - 2 tsp
- chopped green pepper - 1 c
- tomato sauce - 8 oz
- medium onions, chopped - 2 item
- cayenne red pepper - 1/8 tsp
- ground beef or vegeburger - 1 lb
- kidney beans undrained
How to make chili con carne with tomatoes:
Brown ground beef or vegeburger. Saute onions and green pepper until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients, except the kidney beans. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 2 hours. Stir occasionally or cook, uncovered, for 45 minutes. Stir in beans last 15 minutes. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Chili.
