Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- 12 oz - 1 lb
- paprika - 1/8 tsp
- chili powder - 2 tsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- ground beef - 1 lb
- can kidney beans, drained - 1 1/2
- medium green bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
- cayenne red pepper - 1/8 tsp
How to make chili con carne with tomatoes:
Cook and stir ground beef, onion and green pepper in large skillet until meat is brown and onion is tender; drain off fat. Stir in remaining ingredients, except beans. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally or cook uncovered 45 minutes. Stir in beans last.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Chili.
