Chicken teriyaki
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- ground ginger - 1/2 tsp
- soy sauce - 1/2 c
- dry sherry - 1/4 c
- garlic clove, chopped - 1 item
- whole chicken breasts, split in half - 2 item
How to make chicken teriyaki:
Arrange chicken, skin side up, in a single layer in a shallow dish. Combine soy sauce, sherry, sugar, garlic and ginger; pour over chicken. Marinate in refrigerator, turning once or twice, for 2 hours.Preheat broiler. Remove chicken from marinade. Spray rack in broiler pan with vegetable spray; place chicken on rack. Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat, turning once and basting with marinade, about 10 minutes.
