cold water
carrot - 1 item
stalk celery - 1 item
small onion - 1 item
salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
peas - 1/2 c
medium sliced zucchini - 2 item
sliced carrot - 1 item
small diced onion - 1 item
stalk diced celery - 1 item
green beans - 1/2 c
corn - 1/2 c
uncooked rice - 1/4 c
bay leaf - 1 item
parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
Add 1 carrot, 1 stalk celery, 1 small onion and salt and pepper to taste
stick oleo - 1/2 item
flour - 1/2 c
baking powder - 1 tsp
dash of salt - 1 item
pinch of sage - 1 item
eggs - 2 item

How to make chicken soup with dumplings:

Cover several pieces of chicken with cold water. Add 1 carrot, 1 stalk celery, 1 small onion and salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer for 2 hours. Remove chicken and strain broth.

To broth add peas, zucchini, 1 sliced carrot, 1 small diced onion, 1 stalk celery, green beans, corn, uncooked rice, bay leaf and parsley flakes, chicken (picked from bones) and salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer 1/2 hour until vegetables are tender. Meanwhile, stir up dumplings.Dumplings:1/2 c. water1/2 stick oleo1/2 c. flour1 tsp. baking powder1 tsp. parsley flakes dash of salt pinch of sage2 eggs In a saucepan, combine water and oleo. Heat until boiling and butter is melted. Then stir in all at once the flour, baking powder, parsley flakes, dash of salt and pinch of sage. Stir over heat until a ball is formed and all flour mixture is well mixed. Remove from heat. Stir in eggs, one at a time, until well beaten and the mixture is smooth. Drop by teaspoon on top of bubbling chicken mixture making about 12 dumplings. Cover immediately and simmer for 20 minutes. Do not lift lid during cooking time. Serve immediately.
