- milk - 3/4 c
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 2 c
- cold water - 6 7
- all-purpose flour - 1/3 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- instant chicken bouillon granules - 1 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- snipped parsley - 1/4 c
- ground sage - 1/4 tsp
- chopped pimento - 1/4 c
- chopped mushrooms - 1/2 c
- shortening or lard - 2/3 c
- cubed chicken or turkey - 3 c
- In a saucepan, cook onion and mushrooms in butter or margarine until tender, but not brown
How to make chicken pot pie:
Cook peas and carrots according to package directions; drain. In a saucepan, cook onion and mushrooms in butter or margarine until tender, but not brown. Stir in flour, salt, sage and pepper.
