Chicken pot pie
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- plain flour - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chicken broth - 1 c
- can whole kernel corn, drained - 1/2 item
- cooked chicken, diced
- fat-free mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- can LeSueur peas, drained - 1 item
- can refrigerated quick crescent rolls - 1 oz
How to make chicken pot pie:
Combine mayonnaise, flour, chicken broth, pepper, salt and milk. Cook over low heat until thick, stirring constantly. After mixture is thick, add chicken, peas and corn; heat thoroughly. Spoon mixture into 8-inch baking dish, sprayed with Pam. Keep warm. Unroll crescent rolls into 2 rectangles. Place rectangles over chicken mixture to form complete crust. Press perforations together to seal. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes, or until crust is browned.Recipe categories: Casseroles, One Dish meal, Savory pies.
