Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- plain flour - 1/2 c
- butter, melted - 1/3 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chicken broth - 2 c
- chopped carrots - 1 c
- chicken, cooked and chopped - 4 c
- 9-inch pastry shells - 2 item
How to make chicken pot pie:
Saute onion, celery and carrots in butter for 10 minutes. Add flour to mixture, stirring well. Cook 1 minute. Combine broth and milk; gradually stir into vegetable mixture. Cook over medium heat; stir until thickened and bubbly. Stir in salt, pepper and add chopped chicken. Pour chicken mixture in shallow 2-quart casserole.
