- milk - 2/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/3 c
- butter - 1/3 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- chicken broth
- cut up cooked chicken - 3 c
- pastry for 9-inch 2 crust pie
How to make chicken pot pie:
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in flour, onion, salt and pepper. Cook. Stir constantly until bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in broth and milk; heat to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Stir in chicken, peas and carrots. Pour into pastry-lined pan. Place top pastry over chicken mix. Bake 35 minutes at 425°.Recipe categories: Casseroles, One Dish meal, Savory pies.
