Italian casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped green pepper - 1 c
- ground beef
- cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- dried oregano - 1 tsp
- dried basil - 1 tsp
- cans whole kernel corn, drained - 2 3/4
- bulk Italian sausage
- cans sliced ripe olives, drained - 2 1/4
- wide noodles, cooked and drained - 1 pkg
- cheddar cheese, cut into strips - 8 oz
How to make italian casserole:
In a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook sausage, beef, onion, and green pepper until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain. Add tomato sauce and paste, water and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Add corn and olives, cover. Stir in noodles. Pour into 2 greased 13 X 9 inch baking dishes. Top with cheese. Cover and bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until heated through.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Oven.
