Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chicken broth - 2 c
- frozen peas and carrots - 1 pkg
- salt to taste - 1 item
- large fryer - 1 item
- pastry dough - 1 item
How to make chicken pie:
Stew chicken with seasonings added. Remove bones and dice chicken. Melt butter in skillet or large Corning Ware casserole dish; stir in flour. Add broth and milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until medium sauce is made. Place chicken and vegetables in casserole. Salt and pepper, if desired, and mix well. Cover with latticed pir crust. Bake at 350° until golden brown and mixture is bubbly. Yields 10 to 12 servings.You may use canned biscuits. Roll out biscuits until thin like pie crust.
