Chicken marsala
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
- onion salt - 1 tsp
- oregano - 1 Tbsp
- garlic clove - 1 item
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- boneless chicken breasts - 2 lb
- Provolone cheese - 1/4 lb
- box linguini - 1 item
- large jar marinara sauce - 1 item
How to make chicken marsala:
Mix egg and milk in bowl and dip freshly cleaned chicken in batter. Generously coat battered chicken in flour. Heat cooking oil for 3 minutes. Place chicken in pan, turning periodically until golden brown. Heat marinara sauce in saucepan for 5 minutes. Crush garlic clove and add to sauce along with onion salt, oregano, parsley flakes, sugar and black pepper. Boil linguini in 3-quart pan for 5 minutes, then simmer for 10 minutes or until soft. Drain and rinse linguini and add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Melt Provolone cheese over chicken. Serve chicken over a plate of linguini. Serve with garlic bread.
