Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cornstarch - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • chicken broth - 1/2 c
  • vegetable oil, divided - 4 Tbsp
  • onions, thinly sliced - 3 item
  • boneless chicken breasts, cut in strips - 1 lb
  • Chinese noodles, cooked - 1/4 lb
  • bok choy slices - 1/2 lb

How to make chicken lo mein:

Cook Chinese noodles according to package directions; reserve. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in wok or skillet. Add garlic and onions. Stir-fry for 1 minute. Add bok choy and stir-fry for 2 minutes . Add remaining oil if needed. Add chicken and stir-fry for 3 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients and add to wok or skillet, along with noodles. Stir well. Heat until hot, about 2 minutes. Serve immediately. Serves 4.
