Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • butter - 4 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • cold water - 2 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • soy sauce - 2 tsp
  • chicken broth - 2 c
  • sliced onions - 1 c
  • celery, sliced thin - 2 c
  • can mushrooms stems and pieces - 1 item
  • can Chinese vegetables - 1 oz
  • chicken, lobster, beef or shrimp - 2 c

How to make chow mein:

Boil for 1 minute. Put in lightly greased casserole and bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve with chow mein noodles.
