  • carton sour cream - 1 oz
  • soft butter - 4 Tbsp
  • bread crumbs - 1 item
  • minced onion - 2 Tbsp
  • minced celery - 2 Tbsp
  • cans Pillsbury crescent rolls 8 each - 2 item
  • can mushrooms, drained and chopped - 1 oz
  • cooked cubed chicken or turkey - 2 c
  • sage, thyme, salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • Chicken Sauce:1 can cream of chicken soup undiluted
  • Dip Rolls Into:1 square butter

How to make chicken dumplings:

Filling:2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese4 Tbsp. soft butter2 Tbsp. minced onion2 Tbsp. minced celery2 c. cooked cubed chicken or turkey1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained and chopped sage, thyme, salt and pepper to taste Chicken Sauce:1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream Dip Rolls Into:1 square butter bread crumbs Dumplings: Make filling, then separate the crescent rolls. Put a tablespoon of chicken filling in the center of each roll. Roll up and seal. Dip rolls into 1 square or 1/2 cup butter or margarine and roll in bread crumbs. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375° for 20 minutes.

Chicken Sauce: Heat soup and sour cream thoroughly and pour over dumplings.
