Chicken dumplings
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- shortening, cut into dry ingredients - 2 Tbsp
How to make chicken dumplings:
Boil chicken, remove skin and bones, cut into bite size pieces and return to chicken stock. Mix ingredients. Roll out dough and cut into strips. Bring stock to a boil and put strips of dough into the boiling stock. Cover pot and cook for 20 minutes or until dumplings appear done.In memory of Stella Whitesides.
