Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • chopped fresh parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • can tomatoes, cut up - 1 oz
  • chopped green pepper
  • chili sauce - 1 c
  • crushed red pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped fresh basil - 1 Tbsp
  • medium chicken breast halves, skinned, boned and cut into strips - 4 item

How to make chicken creole:

Spray deep skillet with nonstick spray coating. Preheat pan over high heat. Cook chicken in hot skillet, stirring, for 3 to 5 minutes or until no longer pink. Reduce heat. Add tomatoes and their juice, chili sauce, green pepper, celery, onion, garlic, basil, parsley, crushed red pepper and salt. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Serve over hot cooked rice.
