Chicken creole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped fresh parsley - 1 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- can tomatoes, cut up - 1 oz
- chopped green pepper
- chili sauce - 1 c
- crushed red pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped fresh basil - 1 Tbsp
- medium chicken breast halves, skinned, boned and cut into strips - 4 item
How to make chicken creole:
Spray deep skillet with nonstick spray coating. Preheat pan over high heat. Cook chicken in hot skillet, stirring, for 3 to 5 minutes or until no longer pink. Reduce heat. Add tomatoes and their juice, chili sauce, green pepper, celery, onion, garlic, basil, parsley, crushed red pepper and salt. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.
