Chicken cordon bleu
Ingredients/Components
- melted butter - 1/4 c
- grated Parmesan cheese - 3 Tbsp
- slices Swiss cheese - 8 item
- cloves garlic - 2 item
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- white wine - 1/2 c
- mushrooms - 1 item
- boneless chicken breasts - 2 item
- Italian bread crumbs - 1 c
- slices boiled ham - 8 item
- Place 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of Swiss cheese on chicken and roll up
How to make chicken cordon bleu:
Cut chicken breasts in half, then cut in half again and pound flat. Place 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of Swiss cheese on chicken and roll up. Do this until all chicken is rolled. Dip chicken in butter. Mix Italian bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese together and roll chicken in the bread crumb mixture. Place chicken, seam side down, in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Make Sauce while chicken is baking.Sauce:1/4 c. butter2 Tbsp. olive oil2 cloves garlic mushrooms1/2 c. white wine Melt butter in a large frying pan. Add olive oil and mix. Saute garlic until tender. Add mushrooms and brown. Add wine. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Pour sauce over chicken and bake 15 minutes longer.
