Chicken oregano
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- oregano - 1/4 1/2
- Italian seasoned bread crumbs - 1 c
- medium chopped onion - 1 item
- boneless chicken breasts - 1 lb
- clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- can mushrooms with liquid - 1 oz
- cooking red wine - 1/4 c
How to make chicken oregano:
Cut chicken into bite size pieces. Mix egg and milk together in small bowl. Dip chicken into egg/milk mixture, then coat with bread crumbs. Fry chicken in butter and oil just until brown. Remove chicken from pan. Saute onion until clear. Add garlic. Fry for 5 minutes. Remove garlic. Add 1/4 cup cooking wine to hot oil. Let it steam for 30 seconds. Add 1/2 cup water and oregano. Stir and simmer 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and chicken. Serve over egg noodles or rice. Serves 5.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Chicken breast.
