Chicken caruso
Ingredients/Components
- each: salt and pepper - 1/8 tsp
- 2 oz - 2 Tbsp
- minced onion - 1/4 c
- cooked green peas - 1 c
- minced green pepper - 1/4 c
- 1/4 lb - 1 c
- cut up, cooked chicken - 1 c
- slice bacon, finely cut - 1 item
- hot, boiled and drained macaroni - 1 c
- uncooked parsley - 1/2 c
- toasted, slivered almonds if desired - 2 3
How to make chicken caruso:
In medium skillet, saute bacon until lightly browned and crisp. Stir in onion and green pepper. Cook until almost tender; stir in chicken, cheese, pimento and peas. Season with salt and pepper. Mix in cooked macaroni. Cover and keep warm over very low heat until ready to serve. Garnish with parsley sprigs. Sprinkle with toasted almonds.Recipe categories: Chicken, Poultry, Chicken breast.
