  • salt - 1 item
  • pepper - 1 item
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • celery stalk, chopped - 1 item
  • bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • chicken, cooked and deboned - 1 item
  • box Velveeta cheese - 1 item
  • can golden cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • jar pimentos, chopped - 1 item
  • cans cream of Cheddar soup - 3 item
  • noodles, cooked in liquid from chicken - 1 pkg

How to make chicken and noodle casserole:

Season chicken and boil until done. Remove chicken from broth and set aside until cool, then debone. Add noodles to broth and cook according to package directions. Drain, reserving one cup broth. Set aside.

Meanwhile, saute onion, celery and bell pepper in butter until tender. Mix chicken, reserved broth, sauteed ingredients, pimentos and soups. Pour into greased casserole dish. Layer with cheese. Bake in 325° oven until the cheese is melted.

May be made ahead and frozen. Bake when needed after thawing.
