Ingredients/Components
- flour
- egg - 1 item
- chicken broth - 1 qt
- salt to taste - 1 item
- c milk - 1/2 item
- walnut-sized dollop of shortening - 1 item
- chicken, cooked remove meat from bones - 1 item
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Mix egg, flour, milk and shortening. Roll out and cut in 2-inch squares. In a pot, heat broth and drop in dough and chicken. Cook for a half hour. This makes a hard dumpling.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Whole chicken.
