- whole chicken - 1 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- cube butter - 1 item
- flour
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- lard - 1/4 c
- hot water to mix - 1 item
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Noodles:2 1/2 c. flour1 Tbsp. baking powder1/4 c. lard1 tsp. salt hot water to mix Boil chicken in large pot. Add salt, pepper and butter. Cook until done. Remove chicken and debone it. Roll out dough and cut in about 1/2-inch squares. Throw little squares in chicken water for about 20 minutes with deboned chicken. Parsley and poultry seasoning may be added for extra flavor.
