Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- margarine - 1 item
- grated cheese - 1/2 c
- pepper and salt to taste - 1 item
- slices stale bread - 4 item
- Pace thick and chunky mild salsa optional - 1 item
How to make cheese toast:
Boil milk. Fry bread slices, one at a time, in margarine. Remove from margarine and drain on paper towel. Place bread slices in milk until moist. Season to taste and place in baking dish. Cover with grated cheese and bake for five minutes in hot oven. (Optional: Top with mild salsa.) Serve hot.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Lunch/snacks, Cheese.
