  • sugar
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • butter or margarine - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour
  • cocoa - 3 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • peanut butter - 1 c
  • 8 oz
  • or 1 pkg - 4 c
  • rice cereal Rice Krispies - 2 c

How to make deluxe chocolate marshmallow bars:

Topping:1 1/3 c. (8 oz.) chocolate chips3 Tbsp. butter or margarine1 c. peanut butter2 c. rice cereal (Rice Krispies) In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread in a greased jelly roll pan and bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over hot cake; return to oven for 2 to 3 minutes. Cool.

For topping, combine chocolate chips, butter and peanut butter in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat until melted and blended, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in rice cereal. Spread over bars and cool. Makes about 3 dozen.
