  • sour cream
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 1/2 c
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded - 1 c
  • dry parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • can artichoke hearts - 1 oz
  • Monterey Jack cheese, cubed - 2 c
  • sesame seed optional - 2 Tbsp
  • medium cloves garlic, crushed - 6 item
  • loaf sourdough, French-style bread - 1 (16

How to make cheese stuffed bread:

Cut bread in half lengthwise. Hollow out both pieces of bread and set removed portions aside. Melt butter over low heat. Add pieces of bread that were set aside and cook until golden. At the same time, also add garlic and sesame seed. When it turns golden, remove from heat. Now add sour cream, Monterey Jack cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley and 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese.

If you used marinated artichoke hearts, wash and drain, otherwise drain and slice artichoke hearts. Fold these into cheese mixture. Spoon into two bread shells and top with 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese. Bake uncovered on cookie sheet in preheated oven at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before cutting. Enjoy!
