Cheese stuffed bell peppers
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- flour - 1/4 c
- water - 1/4 c
- Velveeta cheese - 8 oz
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- rice
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- beef bouillon cubes - 3 item
- to 6 green bell peppers - 5 item
- Boil peppers in salt water for 5 minutes
How to make cheese stuffed bell peppers:
Set cooked rice aside. Boil peppers in salt water for 5 minutes. Drain. Saute ground beef and onion. Dissolve bouillon cubes in 1/4 cup water. Add to meat mixture. Mix rice and tomatoes and add to meat mixture. Mix rice and tomatoes and add to meat. Stir thoroughly and stuff mixture into green peppers. Place peppers in greased baking dish.Sauce:5 Tbsp. margarine1/4 c. flour2 c. milk8 oz. Velveeta cheese Melt margarine. Whisk in flour and milk. Stir until thickened. Add cheese and melt, stirring. Pour cheese mixture over peppers. Cover with foil. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.Recipe categories: Cheese, Main dish, Peppers.
